Client: City of Wichita
Location: Wichita, KS
Architect: LawKingdon Architecture
New parking structure with 243-vehicle spaces designed to ensure an authentic old-looking building located in the Old Town section of Wichita. The attention to detail on the brick work performed included basket weave, soldiers, arched, dental work and corbels which helped to achieve the new structure look like it was built in the past. The construction site of the project was between two narrow streets and two existing buildings. All adjacent streets were kept open and without delays or traffic problems during the construction phase. The Law Company received an AGC of Kansas State Building Award of Excellence and the Judges Choice Award for this project.
If "attention to detail" means only "putting on finishing touches," then it's too late for timeless quality.
